To continue delivering memorable experiences and to grow our social market in Saskatoon, Radisson Hotel Saskatoon is looking for a Catering Consultant (Temporary). This role will focus on booking and managing events such as weddings, graduations, private parties, charity events etc., as well as meetings.
The Catering Consultant role encompasses the following:
- Make and receive initial and follow-up calls to and from prospective clients
- Interpret and translate the visions of clients from initial inquiry stage to on-site execution by assisting with menu planning, food and beverage coordination, table arrangements, decoration options, etc.
- Booking and managing all aspects of events with communication to all operational departments of the hotel as well as outside vendors
- Coordinate appointments and visits to see our space, host and participate in trade shows
- Collaborate with banquets and culinary team to plan and coordinate event execution
- Interact with guests to obtain feedback; follow up post event
- Other duties as assigned
You will be a fit if you have:
- An eye for detail as it is paramount
- Two years relevant experience working in event/wedding, hospitality or related field preferred. While experience is a plus, we would be willing to train
- Polished communication and relationship management skills
- Passion for guiding customers in planning an unforgettable celebration in their lives
