Job Description:         In accordance with Saskatchewan Healthcare Management System (Lean) and congruent with the mission, vision and values of the Five Hills Health Region, the Director is accountable for overall leadership, strategic planning, quality improvement, coordination, planning and integration of teams within the Community Hospital Emergency care, Acute care and LTC setting at AUH and standalone LTC facility GHC. The Director is responsible under the Lean Methodology approach for efficient and effective operations of an integrated acute/LTC and a standalone LTC facility. Under the operation of Lean continuous improvement the position responsibilities may evolve and change.
Under the patient centered care model, the Director of Care is responsible to ensure all the care needs: medical, physical, psychosocial and emotional of the emergency, acute and  LTC patient/residents. The DOC works collaboratively with physicians and directs staff to deliver care under the patient centered model. The nature of rural Community Hospital care delivery can present challenges to care delivery and therefore requires creative and innovative measures to efficiently and effectively deliver care.






Experience
Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing
3 years nursing experience
3 years management experience
Current SRNA lcensure  or eligibility for licensure
