Agriculture in the Classroom Sask Inc. (AITC-SK) is a registered charity that works to connect kids and agriculture through innovative, curriculum-based programs and resources. AITC-SK is seeking a motivated, visionary leader to guide our flagship program, Little Green Thumbs, across the country. Little Green Thumbs is an indoor gardening program that enables young people to explore, discover, and learn in a unique hands-on environment. AITC-SK is the trademark owner and manager of the Little Green Thumbs program across Canada.  AITC-SK works with host organizations across the country to deliver the Little Green Thumbs program. The successful Little Green Thumbs program director will believe in the values of garden-based learning, have solid understanding of agriculture and gardening practices, an understanding of the education system and inquiry-based learning, and the vision to expand Little Green Thumbs.
Responsiblities:
Promote and Manage growth with new host organizations across Canada and into the United States
Coordinate and facilitate training
Continually improve and expand the program
Develop and implement fundraising strategy to ensure long-term growth and success
Oversee the development of learning resources to support the growth and expansion of LGT
Compile host organization reports into annual reports for funders
Provide assistance to host organization Executive Directors/Leadership in fund-raising efforts
Develop and oversee the national LGT budget
Oversee the development and implementation of a communications plan
Manage the program database
Develop and implement a research and development program for the LGT system components
Manage policies and legal agreements with host organizations
