Primary Purpose: This position fits within the portfolio of the Vice-Provost Teaching and Learning (VPTL) including Student and Enrolment Services, the Distance Education Unit, the University of Saskatchewan Language Centre, the Gwenna Moss Centre for Teaching Effectiveness, Aboriginal Initiatives, Media Production, and the VPTL Service Team This position is responsible for planning and creating relevant, timely and effective design strategies in support of the VPTL portfolio, which are aligned with the strategic directions of the VPTL and the University.

Nature of Work: Reporting to the Manager, VPTL Service Team, the Publications Officer provides expert marketing guidance and advice and creates marketing and design pieces. This work is highly visible reaching a local, national and international audience that influences the reputation of the University and the student experience. This is a high-volume position requiring sound judgement and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with competing demands. Dealing with multiple deadlines, continuous change, and shifting priorities is the norm.
