Cando is currently looking for an experienced Class 1 Truck Driver to deliver rail equipment and material to various customers and work sites. With the responsibility of loading and unloading the truck, the successful candidate must be an independent individual who is able to work alone and is prepared to work long hours with frequent overtime while travelling throughout Ontario and Western Canada. The Cando team focuses on maximizing efficiency with priority on safety and customer service.
Top candidates must have a minimum of two years Class 1 driving experience and be familiar with the regulatory paperwork associated with operating a truck and trailer. Incumbent must be able to operate heavy equipment such as a heavy pay loader (JD544) and Mag Hoe and have the ability to pass security screening for the ERailSafe qualification. Special consideration will be given to those with industrial driving experience.
Cando Drivers are paid on an hourly basis having the ability to earn $60,000- $80,000 annually. Along with well-maintained equipment, drivers are provided lodging and living allowance while travelling away from home base. Benefits include an Employee Group Benefits plan and eligibility to participate in Candos Employee Ownership Program.
