Description

Manages the bleaching, deodorizing and shipping operations and has a joint responsibility with Crush Manager for the performance of the Acid/Caustic Refining process.
CORE FUNCTIONS
Manages department safety objectives ensuring all safety rules/guidelines established by Bunge are followed, contributes to site safety objectives.
Ensures all department employees are trained under Bunge Safety programs.
Coordinates and participates in safety meetings and safety programs.
Maintains effective procedures and training to ensure goals and objectives are met.
Selects, develops, mentors and motivates staff to ensure a reliable and competent workforce.
Schedule staff to meet the needs of marketing, operations, and shipping.
Prepare departmental operating budgets.
Manage an effective preventative maintenance program.
Propose projects for inclusion in Capex and expense plans.
Ensure oils SAP systems and data entry procedures meet needs of other departments (crush, transportation, distribution, marketing & accounting).
Maintain & improve SQF score/housekeeping.
Maximize yields while maintaining quality - bulk and packaging products.
Integrate Kaizen results into day to day operations. Utilize information to improve yield, quality and overall plant performance.
Meet equipment utilization target of 100% with less than 2% unscheduled downtime.
Understands the predictive and preventative maintenance model. Participate in the planning & managing of the annual plant shutdown.
Contribute to planning & completion of Capital Budgets in the Refinery while meeting all timelines and budgets
Provide front line supervisory duties as required for coverage purposes
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
Demonstrated leadership & management skills within a team environment
Strong execution, communication and organization skills
Unrestricted cross boarder mobility
