General Sandblasting & Painting is currently looking for motivated, hard-working individuals who have experience with Abrasive Sandblasting.
The successful candidate must demonstrate excellent communication skills, hold a valid Class 5 (or greater class) drivers' license, obtain negative results upon completion of pre-access drug and alcohol screening, and meet the physical requirements to perform average lifting up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
The candidate will also demonstrate:
-The willingness to work as an effective team player.
-Ability to follow tasks safely and efficiently.
-Knowledge of several different types of blast media.
-Ability to operate the abrasive blasting equipment.
-Ability to operate mobile blast units.
Ability to work on scaffolding, staging, ladders and man lifts at heights up to 50'.
-Ability to work in a confined space.
The position is subject to environmental elements, as most of the work is performed out doors in extreme heat, or extreme cold, position is also subject to high noise levels, vibration, and other atmospheric conditions.
Position is subject to significantly long hours, working weekends, and a night crew will be established for an upcoming project.
