Duties:
The Visitor Service Attendant (VSA) meets, greets, and directs the facilities patrons and visitors, either in person, or by telephone. He or she assists in the overall operation of the facilities by:
providing outstanding customer service and information about current and upcoming facility programs and events to patrons
quickly and efficiently respond to patron questions, comments, and concerns
collecting fees and assist with daily deposits
registering patrons for programs
demonstrating a positive attitude and actions through a display of courtesy, service, cooperation, hospitality, sensitivity, and professionalism to internal and external customers
The VSA is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work area. VSAs also provide back-up for the Activity Leader and Municipal Worker 1 on occasion. Other duties may be assigned on occasion.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:
Previous experience in cash handling and customer service
Neat in appearance and in good physical condition
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Proven ability to effectively and tactfully deal with the public
Possess basic computer skills
Valid First Aid -CPR certificate is considered an asset
A Criminal Record check, including a Vulnerable Sector Check must be provided before hiring.
