Description

We have two openings for Temporary, Full Time Electrical Designers at Littelfuse. Both positions will serve one-year terms. The Electrical Designers primary function is to support the electrical design of custom electrical products for the industrial and oil & gas sectors. The overall objective is to work with the engineering team, determine equipment requirements, formulate solutions and fulfill project electrical needs.

Job Responsibilities:
- Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements and performance standards; coordinates activities with project coordinator, completes technical specification reviews; supports cost estimates and preparation bill of materials.
- Follows Littelfuse quotation methods and techniques with high levels of accuracy.
- Supports Sales Engineering in after sales support and in formulating solutions that meet or exceed client requirements.
- Maintains accurate paperwork and job files to communicate all details and information to other departments.
- Creates designs for custom products including mechanical layouts, schematics and wiring diagrams.

Position Requirements:
- Three-year Electrical Engineering Technology diploma, supplemented by at least 5 years of experience in electrical design and project coordination. Experience in the Mining or Oil & Gas sectors would be an asset.
- Clearly understands electrical control and protecting schematics and is able to read, understand and design wiring diagrams using AutoCAD at an advanced level.
- Intermediate to advanced user of AutoCAD 3D and Inventor.
- Must possess strong understanding of design principles within electrical fields.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and possess excellent communication skills.
