Are you someone who is organized with exceptional communication skills and understand legal terminology? Our client is well known, extremely reputable and is searching for a Legal Assistant in Saskatoon, who is responsible for a diverse range of legal challenges, contract negotiations and other legal documents. This role works internally with lawyers and other legal staff on a daily basis.
Daily duties will include:
Filing
Handling mail
Scheduling appointments
Tracking motions
Subpoenas
Interviews
Legal proceedings
Transcribe meeting agendas
Prepare minutes from voice recordings or handwritten notes
The successful candidate must:
Be able to work independently, with limited or no supervision at times
Have very strong word processing skills
Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a legal secretary
Proficient in Microsoft Word is a must
Accurately type more than 60 WPM
Legal secretary Diploma is preferred
Good understanding for legal terminology
Wage: Ranges between $15.00 and $20.00/hr.
