David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit  a Maintenance Manager to manage their maintenance team of 10 unionized trades' professionals in Moose Jaw, SK.

The successful candidate will be able to work independently as the leader of maintenance to achieve management's strategic objectives. They must be able to give strategic guidance in the implementation of a preventative and predictive maintenance program and uphold all food safety requirements as it relates to maintenance.

The Role:

Responsible for the performance of plant maintenance department
Manage daily, weekly, monthly and annual preventative maintenance for equipment
Manage labour and maintenance budget requirements
Review, manage and maintain all utility requirements for the plants
Demonstrably committed to continuously improve manufacturing operations and processes, maximizing fiscal responsibility while maintaining our customer expectations, minimizing waste and plant mechanical down time
Lead by example and provide leadership by instilling team goals and objectives

The Ideal Candidate:

3+ years' experience as a Maintenance Manager
Able to build rapport quickly with staff and key members of the executive team
Understanding of the key role maintenance has on production requirements
Manage projects on-time and on-budget
Experience and knowledge in HACCP/CFIA Audits, maintenance downtime and equipment performance  
Familiarity with new trends and automation technologies in the meat industry
