Personal Trainer - Part time - YMCA of Regina, Downtown

Department: Fitness

Direct Supervisor: Director of Health and Fitness

Position Start Date:  ASAP

Salary Range:  11.14- 11.71 per hour + commissions

Benefits: Staff receive a free membership to the YMCA, Life Insurance, Long term disability, Accidental disability, Dental and Extended Health after successful completion of 3 month probation while working a minimum of 20 hours a week is optional. Pension will be offered if qualified after 2 years of continuous employment.


Responsibilities:

-Develop and deliver group and personal training programs and sessions
-Lead fitness classes, conditioning centre orientations, new member consultations and Youth FitStart programs
-Provide CPT-CPATH assessments (if certified)
-Develop positive relationships with members in the organization
-Assist to provide a clean and convenient facility for members and guests
-Assist with reporting and checking equipment to ensure safety and proper maintenance
-Other tasks as assigned by supervisor


Requirements:

-Personal Trainer Certification (CSEP, NCSA etc)
-Post secondary degree is an asset, preferably in Physical Education, Kinesiology or an applicable field
-YMCA Fitness Trainer/Training Educator certification an asset
-YMCA Group Fitness Leader/ Instructor an asset
-Good communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
-Flexibility regarding assigned working hours, including evenings and weekends
-Criminal record check dated within 3 months of hire
Current Standard First Aid- CPR
