Job Description: Reporting to the Regional Manager of Therapies, the Physical Therapist is an integral member of a regional team.   As a primary health care provider, the Physical Therapist works independently for major portions of time with minimal supervision.   The Physical Therapist is a member of a professional health discipline whose education and knowledge qualify him/her to make decisions and accept responsibility for clinical physical therapy client care (evaluation or assessment, intervention, education, consultation). The Physical Therapist is accountable for all aspects of the physical therapy care they provide to clients, ensuring that service is consistent with the Mission Statement, philosophy, goals and objectives of the Sun Country Health Region (SCHR).  The Physical Therapist participates in an interdisciplinary team approach that ensures practice standards are compliant with standards established by the Saskatchewan College of Physical Therapists (SCPT).
Required Qualifications

Basic Life Support (BLS)
Valid Class 5 drivers license
Bachelor Degree in Physical Therapy
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan College of Physical Therapists
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Problem solving skills
Ability to assist and develop policies and procedures according to best practices
Ability to competently use computers and software applications as required by the position
Time management skills
Understanding of quality improvement theory and methodologies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Committed to own professional growth and development<
