Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food
Establish work schedule, arrange shifts and take care of the customer feedback and complaints
Keep track of inventory level and order ingredients and supplies
Ensure food service and quality control
Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage, prepare and submit reports
Prepare food order summaries for chef
Hire and train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures
Essential Skills:
Reading text, numeracy, oral communication, working with others, decision making.
Study in related field is an asset or

-Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers
-Oversee kitchen operations
-Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
-Must be able to cook Chinese food
-Clean kitchen and work area
-Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs
-Monitor and order supplies
-May hire and train kitchen staff
-Cooks may also specialize in preparing and cooking ethnic/ continental cuisine or special dishes
