Summary of Duties:
Reporting to the Executive Chef or designate, the position of Dishwasher is responsible for performing a variety of food preparation duties other than cooking, but not limited to preparing cold foods and shellfish, slicing meat, and brewing coffee or tea. This position is also responsible for various cleaning duties related to the kitchen area.
Education and Experience:
Grade 12 education or a combination of relevant education, training and experience
One years experience in an institutional kitchen operation, is preferred
Successful completion of a Safe Food Handling Course, a definite asset
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of public health regulations and standards, a definite asset
Ability to work conscientiously and with minimal direction.
Highly motivated, enthusiastic and cooperative.
