Description

Wanted:  Live in caregiver to look after a young adult with serious mental barriers.  Willing to work all shifts including nights.  Successful applicant will give medications and do ongoing assessments and handle behavioural issues.  Duties will include assisting with preparing meals, light housekeeping, going to medical appointments, school activities and mentoring.

There will be optional accommodation available at no charge for live in basis.  Please note:  this is not a condition of employment.

Specifi Skills:
** Assume full responsibility for household in absense of parent
** Bath, dress and feed client meals
** Maintain a safe and healthy environment
** Organize activities such as games and outings
** Assist with preparing meals and shop for food and household items

Essential Skills:
** Completion of secondary school
** First Aid certification and CPR training
** Experience in supervision and personal hygiene and care of adults with special needs
** Communicates in English and computer literate
