Paint Nite mixes the perfect cocktail of artistic and alcoholic spirits, by bringing adult paint classes to the local bar scene. Through the artist's step-by-step instructions, guests create an acrylic masterpiece they can be proud of. In addition to public events, Paint Nite offers private events such as fundraisers, bachelorette parties, and corporate functions.
You will play many roles: from party host to art instructor, and from MC to spiritual guru. Guests attend Paint Nite to relax and have fun, so we need a social butterfly to join our team. Not a professional artist? Dont sweat it! Its more important that you're able to simplify a painting's steps for beginners.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-Preparing the event's display painting
-Transporting all supplies to the venue
-Setting up the event
-Leading 30-50 guests step-by-step through the event's painting
-Getting your groove on
-Taking photos of the event
-Being the life of the party
-Cleaning up after the event
-Posting party photos to Facebook after the event
THE IDEAL APPLICANT
-Is organized, independent, and responsible
-Is comfortable speaking in front of large crowds
-Is capable of articulating and breaking down a paintings steps for beginners
-Has a playful sense of humour and a fun-loving personality
-Should be artistic, even if art is just a hobby
-Will be patient and encouraging with new painters
-Would be willing and able to travel outside of Saskatoon occasionally
REQUIREMENTS
-Must be available to work evenings and weekends
-Must be at least 19 years of age
-Must have a valid drivers licence and access to a vehicle large enough to transport multiple supply bins (SUVs or trucks are ideal)
-Some heavy lifting is required
