Career wheels spinning but getting nowhere? Put yourself in the drivers seat and get some traction with Fountain Tire! We are searching for a Tire Retread Technician in our Saskatoon Retread Plant (2922 Millar Ave)!

Your duties will include:
-Initial tire inspections to determine which casings are suitable for retreading, and identify required repairs
-Buff tire casings using automated buffing equipment and skive and/or section tires requiring repairs
-Operate manual and computer controlled equipment as part of the retreading process
-Operating curing chamber, and/or curing presses
-Provide final inspection of tires
-Process shipping and receiving paperwork
-Operate a fork lift to receive, reposition and ship tires

What does it take to get on track?
-1 or more years of manufacturing and forklift experience
-A dedicated team player
-Proven ability to work in a fast paced and physical environment
-Basic computer skills
-Ability to consistently lift 50 plus pounds

 - Adjust machines to proper settings
 - Set up, operate and tend machinery used for mixing, calendering, extruding, moulding and curing rubber materials or rubber products
 - Operate machines or equipment to cut, shape, splice, fit and cement rubber materials to form rubber parts or finished rubber products
 - Affix seal or tags to approved products
 - Check and monitor product quality
 - Operate finishing machines or equipment to trim, grind or buff rubber products into final form
 - Make minor adjustments or repairs to products
 - Lay out and prepare rubber materials for assembly
 - Inspect finished rubber products for defects and conformance to specifications and quality standards
