Working under the direction of the Director of Operations, the Human Resource Coordinator provides progressive leadership to the Carry the Kettle First Nation (CTK) and its subsidiary entities in all aspects of human resources management, including: human resource planning, adherence to the Personnel Policy, Health and Safety policy development, performance management, employee relations, pension and benefits plan administration, learning and development and personnel file management and reporting in relation to the applicable labour standards legislation. The Human Resources Coordinator has the primary responsibility for ensuring the successful supply and maintenance of all human resource requirements for CTK First Nation and its subsidiary entities. The Human Resource Coordinator will ensure proper employee compliance with the CTK Personnel Policy and procedures and satisfactory employer compliance with all relevant Labour, Privacy and Human Rights Legislation and regular reporting to Chief and Council. The successful candidate will possess a Human Resource Management Certificate or Business Administration degree or a combination of relevant training, education and experience. As well as a minimum of 3 years work experience in Human Resources, preferably in a HR generalist type role. Experience working with First Nations band/organization is an asset.
