Morse Grocery is seeking part and/or full time employees to work on a flexible schedule. To ensure success in this position, the candidate will need to have a good understanding of transactions involving cash, debit and credit with previous experience in the service sector.
In addition to these qualities we require the candidate to have the following abilities:
* Greet customers and provide excellent customer service at all times
* Scan merchandise accurately
* Describe current promotions and advertisements to custoemrs
* Handle payments by cash, cheque, credit card or automatic debit
* Use electronic scanners, cash register, or computers
* Give receipts,refunds, credits and assist customers
* Must be very detail oriented
* Open and close till at the beginning and end of each shift
* Ensure that safe work practices are followed inclulding using proper lifting techniques and keeping the register area clean
The candidate for this position must have the following skills and requirements:
Basic math skills
Detail oriented with a positive attitude
Excellent command of the English language, both oral and written
Must be punctual, dependable and hard working
Must be available to work on a rotating, flexible schedule for evening and/or weekend shifts
Self-confident, personable, energetic personality
Ability to work within a fast-paced environment
Professional appearance and demeanor
Potential candidates must be highly motivated, outgoing, confident and articulate.
