Northern Lights School Division #113 requires a continuing, full time Literacy Consultant to work with school division personnel in the following area; English Language Arts and Community of Learners: Literacy.
The successful candidate must have:
- a valid Saskatchewan Teaching Certificate
- Post-secondary credentials appropriate to the position
- substantial teaching experience with ESL/Aboriginal students
- current knowledge of Saskatchewan Core Curriculum
- a reliable vehicle and a valid drivers license
- an understanding of Professional Learning Communities and the Response to Intervention Model
- an in depth understanding of balanced literacy and Saskatchewan Reads and a willingness to coach classroom teachers and LNCs
A Masters Degree in Curriculum Studies and the ability to speak Cree or Dene would be considered an asset.
