Under the direction of the Head of Diagnostics, this person will perform laboratory/radiology and ECG duties for detection, prevention and management of physiological and pathological conditions. This position will work closely with all departments of the ANHH and the Health Services of the File Hills Qu'Appelle Tribal Council to ensure/maintain a high quality of patient care.
This position is deemed as a .80 FTE position, however extra hours may be increased by picking up relief shifts replacing current full-time or part-time staff during leaves of absences. The hours of the successful applicant may be 8:00 - 4:00 or 7:30 - 3:30 or 6:30 - 2:30 Monday to Saturday and be on a scheduled rotation for Standby and/or Callback on weekends and/or weekdays. The temporary term may be up to one year or longer.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of approved Combined Laboratory & X-Ray Technicians (SACLXT)
- Completion of Immunology (IMMU183), Cardiac Markers (CHEM 1808) and Therapeutic Drugs and Drugs of Abuse (CHEM 1807) courses are required or must be willing to complete.
- Rural hospital CLXT skills are an asset.
