High Performance Coach role is a comprehensive, multi-faceted role with broad responsibilities for the overall development of curling in Saskatchewan. This role will be based out of the CURLSASK office (Regina). You will work on behalf of our Athletes, Coaches and Member Clubs to develop, administer, and grow the sport of Curling in Saskatchewan.
Areas of responsibility include:
1. As the CURLSASK High Performance Coach, you will develop and implement all aspects of the Saskatchewan High Performance Program. You will also be responsible for the preparation and implementation of High Performance initiatives in the Province of Saskatchewan. You will have the opportunity to work with a number of our partners.
2. As the head coach in the province, you will be responsible for our athletes and your team of Coaches across the province. You will arrange for camps, clinics and coaches training seminars. You will also verify coachs certification level in compliance with CURLSASK/ Curling Canada requirements. You will serve our 140 member clubs across the province to conducting clinics and camps. Including organizing, administering and implementing clinics camps, business of curling seminars and lessons.
3. CURLSASK declares several provincial champions each year. You will be tasked with preparing these championship teams to represent the Green and White at various National Championships.
Job Requirements: NCCP Competition Development Certification (or equivalent NCCP Level 3) is considered an asset. Competition Development Certification in the sport of curling is desirable, but we recognize our ideal candidate might not have their Competition Development Certification yet. For candidates that have a combination of curling knowledge and a willingness to become Competition Development Certified CURLSASK will help you achieve your Competition Development Certification.
