Doepker Industries is a leading Canadian manufacturer of highway semi-trailers.  The company is continually developing new and innovative designs for our customers across Canada.  Doepker Industries has won awards and been recognized for business excellence and innovation since the company started in 1948.

We are currently accepting applications for the permanent full-time position of Production Engineer to join our production engineering team. Interfacing with our Marketing, Purchasing and Production departments the Production Engineers work will include developing customer option requests and supporting high volume manufacturing.

You will work on:
    Production support
    Jig and tooling qualification, design, and maintenance scheduling
    Quality Control of incoming and manufactured product
    Root cause analysis and corrective actions
    Project management, including scheduling
    Bill of Materials development
    Design of parts and assemblies
    Drawing creation
    Design for manufacture
    Vendor interface
    Occasional customer contact

Requirements:
    Bachelors degree in related engineering field or technologist diploma

Additional assets:
    Experience in manufacturing environment
    Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles
    Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software
    Experience using MRP software
    Familiarity with metal fabrication and processing
