Description

Our branch in the Macklin/Provost area is currently looking for full-time Class 1 Drivers to join the team. This position is responsible for operating and driving a variety of equipment, including: Trailer Vac, Combo Unit and Hydrovac and Pressure Trucks.

Key Responsibilities:
-    Ensures the safety of themselves as well as those around them;
-    Performs pre and post trip inspections;
-    Performs roadside repairs as needed;
-    Ensures cleanliness of equipment;
-    Maintains and updates drivers log book;
-    Completes all required paperwork.
Key Qualifications:
-    Class 1 license and a clean 5-year drivers abstract; Willing to consider Class 3 license
-    Previous commercial driving experience required
-    Previous oilfield experience an asset
-    Safety Tickets (First Aid/CPR, H2S Alive, CST, etc) preferred
-    Ability to travel up to 50-75% of the year, with up to 1-2 weeks away from home

Transportation/Travel Information
 - Willing to travel for extended periods
 - Valid driver's licence
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)
 - First Aid Certificate
 - CPR Certificate
 - Driver's Licence (Class 3 or D)
 - Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
 - H2S (Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness) Training
 - Driver's Licence (Class 1 or A)
Additional Skills
 - Handle inquiries from customers
 - Professionalism in customer service
Specific Skills
 - Transport hazardous products or dangerous goods
 - Perform preventive maintenance
 - Perform emergency roadside repairs
 - Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
 - Loading and unloading of goods
 - Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
