Purpose and General Description:

The Development Officer assumes a key role in assisting the Regional Vice President and Director of Development in the coordination and delivery of fundraising activities to further the mission of The Nature Conservancy of Canada and to maximize revenues for its programs and operations in the Saskatchewan Region.

The Development Officer will play a key role in coordinating the development and implementation of the Saskatchewan Regions strategic plan to increase revenues from individuals, foundations, and corporations. The Officer will work in support of and with the Regional Vice President on identifying and stewarding major donors. This position will work as part of the Saskatchewan region senior team and in cooperation with the national Philanthropy & Marketing team to ensure consistency and coordination. This position will also work with key volunteers and Board members as appropriate. The incumbent will mentor other staff in the fulfillment of donor solicitation and recognition initiatives.

The Development Officer reports directly to the Director of Development & Communications and supports the fundraising work of the Saskatchewan Regional Vice President.
