Description

The Department of Political Studies at the University of Saskatchewan invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor in the area of global governance, starting July 1, 2017. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor (floor salary of $93,293).  This position comes with a comprehensive benefits package which includes pension plan, life insurance (compulsory and voluntary), sick leave, travel insurance, death benefit, dental plan, extended health and vision care plan, employee assistance program and flexible health and wellness spending program.

Candidates must have a completed doctoral degree in Political Science or a related discipline and a record of demonstrated excellence in teaching and research. We are seeking a collaborative-minded teacher-scholar who is building a reputation for excellence in the area of global governance, who can contribute to the departments broad thematic area of Governance in a Global Era.

The core of the Department consists of seven faculty members, with additional colleagues in the affiliated St. Thomas More College. We offer undergraduate degree programs in Political Studies, International Studies, and Aboriginal Public Administration, and are centrally involved in various interdisciplinary programs across campus. We have a MA program in Political Studies. Our faculty members are also involved as graduate thesis supervisors and thesis committee members in Interdisciplinary Studies.
