The Product Development Team Leader position we are hiring for is a senior level position within the company.  This position is fundamental due to level of importance we place on product development and future growth.  
Position Purpose:
To provide leadership, mentoring and guidance to the Product Development Team.
Position Responsibilities:
1.To develop and mentor the product development team in all areas of personal development such as critical thought, self-esteem, self-awareness and formal technical education.
2.To provide product development project management.  This includes initial concept development, preliminary test evaluation, detailed design reviews, interdepartmental communication, product production transitions and industry research.
3.Management and administration.  This includes department budgeting, formulation of department policy, team member evaluations, and acting as a technical resource to other departments.
4.Special projects as required.  This includes training and orientation of team members from other departments, system procurement, company and corporate interdepartmental initiatives, and major product problem solving and/or service work.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
1.Engineering degree in the mechanical/agricultural field  P. Eng. required
2.Ability to work in an environment that supports self-directed actions
3.Experience with lean practices in a manufacturing environment
4.Proven record of effective interpersonal and interdepartmental communication skills
5.Ability to think critically and analytically
