Courtyard Marriott Hotel is now looking for experienced and skilled AM Bistro server. Depending on the occupancy of the hotel, hours can vary from 15hrs to 40hrs weekly. The position requires a minimum of one year experience in a high volume restaurant and must be legal to serve alcohol. Applicants shall bring a positive attitude and give great customer service. Strong communication skills and able to multitask is required for this position. They are also required to seat and greet customers, handling cash/debit/credit transactions, present themselves in a professional manner and perform other task given by the supervisor. Food and Beverage Serving Skills
- Advise on menu selections
- Present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travellers cheques or room billings
- Describe menu items including daily specials for customers
Wine and Stewarding/Serving Skills
- Present, open, pour and serve wine in appropriate wine glassware
- Order and maintain inventory of wines and wine glassware
- Describe and advise on wine selection
Transportation/Travel Information
- Own vehicle
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)
- Serving It Right Certificate
