Since 1908 Paterson Grain has been a leader in the Canadian grain industry. Paterson Grain focuses its expertise on all aspects of grain handling and prides itself on sustaining and building long-term relationships with Canadian grain producers. We are currently looking for a Grain Marketing Representative to join our facility in Indian Head, SK.

Responsibilities:

Develop and lead location marketing programs, contracting, pricing, and procurement of grain for the facility
Build relationships with area farmers to assist them in marketing their grain through the facility
Establish and maintain a producer database
Supervise day-to-day marketing activities
Develop location targets and budgets with regards to commodities and related volumes.
Monitor competitor marketing programs and strategies.
Willingness to participate in community events/groups to promote and foster the companys relationship with the community.

Knowledge and Experience Required:

A Degree or Diploma in a related field, or experience in sales/marketing, a farming background is a definite asset
Demonstrated knowledge of marketing, sales, customer service, and good communication skills
Understanding of Commodity and Trading; Futures, Hedging, Contract options, Basis.
Must have and maintain a valid drivers license and satisfactory driving record
