Job Description: The Manager, Disability Income oversees the administrative requirements of four 3sHealth Disability Plans and works closely with participating employers, union representatives, regulating authorities, actuaries and external consultants regarding these plans. The Manager oversees a team responsible for providing disability claims management, return to work planning, and payroll administrative services in support of better care, better health, better value and better teams in the provincial healthcare system. Our approach to case management is designed to ensure equitable, fair and timely administration of all disability claims. Through setting and monitoring the service standards of the department and through ensuring quality at every step of the way, the Manager works closely with the team to remove barriers and any non-value added waste so that our disability claimants receive an appropriate decision, related to their claim, quickly. In an environment committed to continuous improvement, the Manager will use Lean tools in order to increase communication, perform root cause analysis and improve the work that we do for our customers.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor degree/diploma in Business Administration, Social Sciences, Nursing or a related field
Experience
A minimum of five years of progressively responsible disability and/or benefit plan administration experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Ability to analyze complex situations and environments and produce workable and practical solutions
