Description

- Responsible for the overall maintenance of the Piwapan Women?s Centre, reports to the Executive Director; Submission of monthly reports to the LRNWC Inc. Board of Directors; Advocate for and guard the best interests of the client whenever necessary
- Submission of monthly reports to the LRNWC Inc. Board of Directors
- Oversee day to day activities of the Centre. Ensure Centre is properly maintained and inspections are up to date and all license requirements are met.
- Assist with evaluations, probationary reviews of Shelter Workers; Assist in identifying personal and professional growth needs of staff.
- Responsible for recruitment and maintenance of Casual On-Call list
- Case conferencing with staff, scheduling shifts and on-call work when required
- Conflict resolution
- Policy and Program development; Administration of WSIS
- Maintain a positive working relationship with other agencies and the general public service groups
- Oversee the general operation of the PWC, ensuring that standards and quality service are maintained throughout the year; Maintain budget for household expenses
- Ensure proper maintenance of the Centre, including all items necessary for successful operation of the Centre, including food, first aid supplies, office supplies, cleaning supplies; Ensure proper maintenance of PWC vehicles
- Provide monthly, quarterly and annual statistical information to LRNWC Inc.

Critical Factors: Strong and effective communications skills, good written and oral skills, able to cope positively with stress, bondable, positive role model, efficient computer skills, conflict resolution skills, able to do presentations and public speaking, able to work independently and in a team environment.

An equivalent combination of training and experience will be considered

The ability to speak a northern Aboriginal language is an asset
Must pass a criminal record and child abuse check.
