Description

Environmental Project Manager -

Vertex is currently accepting applications for a full-time, permanent Environmental Project Manager for our Liability Management team. The successful candidate must have exceptional project management skills and a demonstrated ability to communicate and develop rapport with clients and stakeholders. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing upstream oil and gas and industrial projects in accordance within Vertex guidelines and project scopes.  Ideal candidates will be local to Kindersley, Saskatchewan; will possess a strong understanding of spill response and environment assessments, with at least 5 years environmental consulting experience.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

Diploma or University Degree in  environmental science,  reclamation, or other related field
Minimum 5 years of project management experience
Demonstrated ability to communicate and develop rapport with clients and stakeholders; Excellent communication and technical reporting skills    
Experience conducting field and reporting portions of Phase I/II/III Environmental Site Assessments
Strong Emergency spill response background


RESPONSIBILITIES

Developing and maintaining key relationships with clients
Develop and manage project-specific budgets in alignment with each projects unique scope and strategy
Plan, organize, schedule and coordinate all assigned project activities, including mobilization, demobilization, manpower requirements, scheduling of equipment, materials and facilities to ensure work is executed efficiently and effectively
Mentor and support junior and intermediate technical staff
