Responsibilities
The Maintenance Planner is accountable to the Mechanical Maintenance Lead Engineer and is responsible for planning all mechanical maintenance work in his/her designated areas of responsibility.
- Plan all mechanical maintenance work in SAP including work on piping, vessels, pumps, compressors, valves, etc.
- Ensure parts, equipment rentals and contractor availability for each specific job.
- Develop task lists and maintenance plans as necessary to ensure long term integrity of plans for each functional location.
- Satisfy all maintenance planning requirements like accurate estimates of man hours for all trades, special tools, lifting and rigging requirement.
- Planning backlogs of day to day and outage work to be addressed and updated on weekly basis.
- Refine planning process so as to eliminate repetition, decrease costs, increase planning accuracy, and maintain high levels of schedule adherence.
- Review spare parts requirements and recommend reorders, review min/max inventory levels. Order material and equipment as required in close coordination with the procurement staff.
- Attain feedback on every plan from field execution and revise plans to ensure future accuracy of every single plan. 3 to 5 years experience in planning in petrochemical or fertilizer industry.
Education and Skill Profile
- Pipefitter or Millwright journeyperson is preferred with 2 to 3 years hand on experience in the specific trade.
- Sound knowledge of SAP PM Module.
- Thorough knowledge of safe industry practices in OH&S.
- This position currently 1 year terms with possible extension to 2 years.
