Description

- To provide comprehensive primary health care within the nurse practitioner scope of practice including assessments, diagnosis, counselling, screening, referral education, treatment and follow-up in a clinic setting and in the community.
- Plan and implement strategies and programs to promote health and prevent disease with communities, families, and individuals.
Advocate and participate in the development of a healthy community through community needs assessments, presentations, committee work, and advocacy.

Registered or eligible for registration as a RN(NP) with SRNA.
- Certificate in advanced clinical nursing program or equivalent educational preparations.
Bachelor of Science in nursing preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers (C)
- Valid drivers license and vehicle required.
- Strong assessment, teaching, counselling, and communication skills.
- Previous experience in a primary health care centre preferred.
- Able to work independently as well as work as a team member.
- Must have an understanding of the determinants of health.
- Knowledge and compatibility with CHSA philosophy and policy.
- Must be bondable.
