Description

Pinehouse Business North (PBN) is a northern Saskatchewan Aboriginal owned and operated company. Reporting to the CEO, the Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager is responsible for oversight & general management of the PBN safety team, along with the effective implementation & promotion of the PBN safety programs and systems. The HSE Manager, will lead the creation & maintenance of a safety culture throughout the organization. This position is based out of the Saskatoon, SK office on a Monday to Friday schedule.  Flexibility in travelling to remote work sites & PBN offices will be required several times per month.

Responsibilities
Continually develop and implement PBNs safety program to meet company and accreditation requirements.
Develop and manage incident database and report incident frequency to PBN Management and applicable authorities on a regular basis.
Develop, manage and maintain PBNs Safety Manual and Program and all related forms, policies and procedures.
Responsible for ensuring all HSE procedures & work instructions are followed.
Investigates injuries, accidents and near misses as well as develops and implements recommendations and act as liaison with Workers Compensation Board (WCB)including case management.
Responsible for encouraging, assisting and monitoring contractors and their activities and enforcing procedural compliance so as to provide a safe environment on site.  

Skills and Abilities
Minimum five years experience in a Field Safety role managing multiple projects simultaneously
Valid CSO or NCSO
CRSP or actively working towards designation
Certificate of OH&S level 1 & 2
Supervisory training
Standard First Aid/CPR Certificate
Class 5 valid drivers license
Strong oral & written communication skills
Resiliency & ability to adapt to change
Strong desire to increase PBN employee capacity related to HSE issues
