Description

This position will include the following responsibilities and day to day functions:
Plan, develop and execute child initiated activities
Follow the play and exploration curriculum
Provide supervision and guidance in all activities
Provide opportunity for creative expression through art, dramatic play and music
Assess the developmental level of children
Develop ongoing documentation
Assist in housekeeping duties
Maintain daycare supplies and equipment
Ensure the delivery of a quality licensed child care center
The successful candidate should posses the following qualifications:
Valid First Aid/CPR
Early Childhood Education Level 1,2 or 3
Abstract criminal record check at their own expense
Ability to problem solve and make decisions
Team building skills with emphasis on collaboration, communication and conflict resolution

 - Provide supervision and guidance of daily activities, field trips and special activities
 - Prepare progress reports and discuss with parents and other staff members
 - Assess the developmental level of children
 - Knowledge of licensing regulations

 - Assist in maintaining records of children

 - Prepare craft materials and assist children to use them
