Description

JA Tech Inc. is a provider of specialized construction and field technical services for most equipment and apparatus which form a part of an electrical power system.  Services vary in scope from emergency troubleshooting to installation, maintenance and acceptance testing, commissioning, start-up, system studies and analysis, repairs and turn-key type solutions.  

We are currently recruiting for experienced HVAC Technicians to fill a term position working with our Commissioning Team.

Compensation Package
-Wage will be determined based on experience.

Duties and Responsibilities
-Work in conjunction with JA Techs Commissioning team
-Demonstrate knowledge of HVAC systems in an industrial setting
-Perform pre-commissioning, commissioning and testing on HVAC systems
-Troubleshoot HVAC systems
-Conduct work in a manner prescribed by JA Techs Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) Manual
-Comply with all applicable safety standards/regulations/legislation
-Perform other duties as required

Skills and Qualifications
-Valid Journeyman Gas Fitter Ticket (May consider Journeyman Instrumentation Technicians/Mechanics or Electricians with valid experience working with HVAC systems)
-Valid HRAI Certification would be considered an asset
-Valid WHMIS (must be current within the year)
-Valid CSTS-09 or SCOT
-Ability to pass a pre-access drug and alcohol test
-Strong knowledge of drawings, blueprints and specifications
-Industrial site experience, including on-site safety  
-Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines without supervision and troubleshoot
-Self motivates with a pro-active attitude
-Valid Class 5 drivers license
-Proficiency in the Windows environment and Microsoft Office
-Willing to work shift rotation
-Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
