Reporting to the Team Manager, Infrastructure and Operations this position is responsible for the administration, maintenance, analysis, and deployment of Saskatchewan Crop Insurance Corporations (SCICs) corporate technical and communications infrastructure. This includes but it not limited to, researching, implementing and maintaining new technologies.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Implement, administer and maintain SCIC's IT infrastructure.
Identify root cause to infrastructure related hardware or software issues and implement solutions to prevent further related issues.
Recommend changes for improvements to SCIC's infrastructure.
Coordinate with government and consultants' information technology departments on operations of head office and customer service office services.
Analyze capacity on SCIC's infrastructure such as storage, network, backup and computing power.
Research, develop and implement security technologies such as firewalls, networks and virtual private networks.
Maintain the availability of IT services for the corporation and its customers.
Support the service desk for service related hardware, software or networks.
Participate in cross divisional committees as required.
Act as a subject matter expert and technical lead for a variety of projects.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

To be successful in this position, you will need knowledge and skills acquired through the completion of a diploma or degree in Computer Science, supplemented by three to five years related experience.
