Description

Northern Research Group Inc. is Saskatchewans leading Metis consultancy specializing in business development, economic development and stakeholder engagement. We are currently expanding our Business Development Unit and are looking for a full-time Financial Analyst to work remotely in Saskatoon, Prince Albert or Northern Saskatchewan. Reporting directly to the CEO, this position requires a high level of organization, communication, independence and skill conducting financial analysis. Key job activities for this position include:
Build and update multi-year strategic plans, annual operating budgets and business plans.
Use in-depth analysis to develop multi-year financial projections for new and existing businesses in all sectors of the economy.
Identify areas of potential risk and formulate recommendations for risk mitigation.
Investigate the feasibility of business opportunities in a variety of sectors throughout the Province.
Develop and maintain client relationships.
Engage in the preparation of technical proposals and presentations.

The successful candidates will have:
A minimum of a university undergraduate degree with a major in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration and/or Business Economics is a requirement. A Masters Degree is considered an asset.
A professional certification in finance, accounting, business analysis, business valuation, or business planning is considered an asset.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role is desired.
Experience developing business plans and financial projections is a requirement.
Proven proficiency with accounting principles.
Strong knowledge and insight into financial statements and costing systems.
Excellent knowledge of Saskatchewan's economy is a requirement.
Attention to detail and focus on accuracy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting systems (Quickbooks/Simply Accounting) is required.
