Description

Duties/Responsibilities:
Analyzes documents, specifications, proposals, addendums in preparation for pricing
Performs any estimate related communications with clients/purchasing
Coordinate with PM to establish material to be used before doing take off/price preparation
Performs quantity take off (material/fixtures/equipment)from construction drawings
Assist lead estimator when directed to do so to prepare documents for tendering
Assist in obtaining pricing from suppliers/subcontractors and incorporates into estimate
Assist in formulating costs for tender submissionlabour,equipment,material,rentals and subcontracts
Accountable for accuracy and completeness of tender submissions
Assist PM with project change orders
Revise material take off and liaise with engineer if changes need to be made.
Review and revise if necessary material take off with assigned PM before submitting list to purchasing.
Maintains files and correspondence on active and completed projects
Document take off diagrams and layouts
Maintains estimating data systems to ensure they are kept up to date
Drives estimating process/procedure compliance and consistency
Assists with prequalification submissions, rfqs & rfis as required
Protects all forms of proprietary information
Provide support to field operations regarding mechanical estimates
Site visits as required
Performs other duties and responsibilities as required
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a journeymen certificate and experience in entry management
A background in the mechanical Industry is an asset
Skills/Abilities:
Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills; demonstrated ability to problem solve and
Thorough, detail orientated, have impeccable organizational skills
Strong computer skills/aptitude
Strong ability to analyze information, strategic planning,reporting/communicating results
Strong computer skills/aptitude
Proactive self-starter able to work with minimal to no supervision
