Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director, Corporate Services & Facilities, the Manager, Information Technology (IT) Services, is responsible for the effective management, operation, development, and support of the Librarys IT operations. This position provides expert IT system support services across the organization and is responsible for overseeing infrastructure design, project management, resource management, hardware installation, and communicating with all users of the Saskatoon Public Library technology infrastructure. This position is responsible for identifying, selecting and deploying new technology to support organizational goals and objectives.

The Manager oversees, directs and coordinates the work of IT Services staff including creating and maintain a positive work environment characterized by open communication, coverage, teamwork, respect and recognition.

Saskatoon Public Library (SPL) employees will support and work within the policies and framework of the Library corporate culture as embodied in the SPL Service Plan and the Canadian Library Association position statements on Intellectual Freedom and Diversity and Inclusion, with particular emphasis on providing excellent customer service.
