The Saskatchewan Construction Association (SCA) is seeking an administrative assistant, for 35 hours per week, for an approx. 20-week contract. The position will report to the President. The individual will be expected to work in our office in Regina. Hours of work are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. 4:00 p.m. Expected pay range is $18 - $20 per hour based on experience.
Regular Administrative Duties:
Checking the fax
Checking the SCA email
Answering the phones
Maintaining the membership database
Taking minutes at Board and Committee meetings if required
Receiving and sending mail
Coordinate meetings as needed, including catering, hotel space, car rentals and so on.
Coordinate bi-weekly staff meetings, one-on-one meetings with the President, and member engagement meetings.
o Prepare agenda, printed materials, send meeting invites, schedule WebEx meetings
Ordering office supplies as needed
Maintain office space as needed, such as scheduling recycling, building maintenance, and the postage machine
Assist with special event planning as needed
Manage Out-of-Office Calendar
Coordinate creation of honorary plaques, trophies etc. as needed
Coordinate ordering of SCA clothing, mementos etc. as needed
The successful candidate will have:
At least 6 months administrative experience
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
Customer service skills
Familiarity with non-for-profit associations and the construction industry is an asset
Be able to work under deadlines and handle seasonal increases in workload
Strong organizational skills
Desire to work as part of a team and answer to multiple managers
