Description

O&T Farms produces Omega-3 rich animal feeds using a unique, patented dry extrusion process.

Reporting to the Operations Manager and Production Supervisors, this position is responsible for operating extruders and mix machinery as noted below.

Responsibilities:
-Mix product according to formula(s)
-Processing grain in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and HACCP requirements
-Monitor and operate extruders, processing equipment and temperatures
-Notifying supervisor of required repairs to equipment
-Reporting quality problems to Management
-Record Keeping
-Cleanliness and maintenance of mill and plant building, yard, vehicles and equipment
-Load and unload trucks including grain trailers
-Work in a safe manner at all times and complete jobs following safety procedures
-Ability to work in all weather conditions (some outside work)
-Shift work is required (with pay differential).  Weekend and overtime may be required during busy season
-Dusty - must not be allergic to grain dust

Skills:
-Positive attitude and strong work ethic
-Willing to learn and open to coaching
-Work independently as well as part of a team
-Attention to detail, commitment to accuracy and product formula quality
-Good oral communication, problem solving and capable multi-tasking
-Some mechanical experience, bobcat/forklift operation
-Heights - must be able to work up to 100 ft. in the air
-Must be physically fit to be able to lift 25-50 lbs. repeatedly throughout day
-Valid Class 5 driver's license
-Reliable vehicle or transportation to get to plant(s) - Approx. 10 km out of Regina

Assets but not required:
      Math skills
      Class 1A driver's license
