In this position, you will be assisting a Crew Chief in performing oilfield surveying.

The Survey Assistant is responsible for assisting a Crew Chief in locating property boundaries, buildings, structures and other natural or human-made features on, over, or under the surface of the earth. Duties will require the operation of Global Positioning System (GPS), a variety of survey equipment, and off-road vehicles. Additional responsibilities include maintenance of hand and power tools, survey equipment, vehicles, and supplies.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma and a valid driver's license.  Familiarity with the operation of Total Station and GPS equipment are preferred.  Previous experience with 4X4 trucks, all-terrain vehicles and snowmobiles would be beneficial.  Safety training (i.e. H2S, First Aid, WHMIS, etc.) is required and will be provided as necessary.

Travel out of town will be required. Candidates should be prepared to comply with our drug and alcohol policy, which includes screening.  You must be physically able to perform the requirements of the job and be willing to work in all types of weather conditions.
