SM Technician is responsible for electrical and electronic assemblies through standard concepts, practices, mechanical drawings, and other written or verbal instructions.
Performs a variety of technician and production tasks directly related Surface Mount Technologies (in the SMT Department), including manual operations, programing, process development and robotic operations.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:.
-A strong acuity to technical aspects of software and machinery is required.
-Experience in manufacturing, factory or electronics and asset.
-Detail oriented and accurate, able to work for long periods with up-close visual tasks, continuous fine motor skills and repetitive motion and/or sitting/standing for long periods at time.
-Good visual (eye) health required.
-Excellent mathematical skills and comprehension.
-Must be able to read, understand and interpret written and/or verbal instructions, technical documents and various machine programming systems.
-Have ability to communicate effectively.
CORE DUTIES:
-Ensure of material and production flow for production goals.
-Assist in machine loading, materials movement.
-Programming for repeat and new or revised products using various OS and proprietary programs.
-Machine/robotics operation.
-Machine program maintenance/continuous improvement.
-Report production and labour issues immediately to production manager.
-Other production or technical related support/duties as required.
-PCB build inspections.
-Preventative maintenance of machinery (basic).
