Description

This Accounts Payable Clerk will be reporting into the Finance Controller within the finance department and will be responsible for full cycle accounts payable function (matching, batching and coding a high volume of invoices, processing bi-weekly cheque runs and employee expenses, and assisting with projects associated with improvements to systems and processes within Accounts Payable.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Process a high volume of accounts payable invoices
Ensure the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices (Invoice entry for payment in accounting system)
Review invoices entered by other team members for accuracy
Manage Accounts Payable mailbox and distribute invoices
Manual invoice review and preparation
Assist with payment runs
Respond to vendor queries in a professional and timely manner
Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies
Work with operations and finance teams to ensure month end close is accomplished consistently within 6 business days
Identify areas for improvement in current work processes
Other duties, as assigned
Qualification
Previous experience in accounts payable would be considered an asset
Well organized, detail oriented, enthusiastic and confident
Highly analytical with proven problem-solving skills
Ability to allocate one's time effectively, multi-task, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
System savvy with basic knowledge of MS Office Suite of Products and experience with ACCPAC system
Self-starter with a highly energetic, results oriented work style combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
