Facility: REHABILITATION
Job Description: The incumbent in this position provides support for children, youth, and families receiving services through the autism program. This may include planning and implementing family recreation activities; organizing and leading parent support groups; researching and facilitating access to community and/or regional activities, events, or services; offering support programs for siblings; assisting with or leading summer programs; assisting families to access financial supports; and assisting with clerical support as needed.
Required Qualifications
Baccalaureate degree in a recognized human services field such as social work, psychology, speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, education, nursing or kinesiology
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorders
Knowledge of a wide variety of evidence-based treatments and strategies for Autism Spectrum Disorder
Experience in developing, facilitating and coordinating groups
Ability to accept difference in ability, culture, life-style, and socio-economic status without judgement

Geographic Location: BASED IN NIPAWIN
Expected Start Date: October 10, 2016
FTE: 1.00
Hours of Work: 112.00 hours per 3 week rotation
