Job Description: The Nursing Supervisor is accountable for the overall coordination of care and flow of acute and non-acute patients throughout their stay.  This includes the flow to and from other facilities within Region and both Provincial and Inter Provincial. They also provide supportive care of other departments at the Victoria Hospital, Monday - Friday coverage from 0630 - 0115 hours, including statutory holidays and coverage from 0900 - 2117 on weekends.   The Nursing Supervisor is responsible and accoun
Experience
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Current Registration with SRNA
Education:  Registered Nurse, B.ScN is preferred
                   Five to Ten years of related nursing experience.
                   Previous Nursing Administration experience would be an asset
                   Certification in BCLs, ACLS TLR, PART
                   Knowledge and experience in LEAN would be an asset

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Extensive knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice.  Working knowledge of the principles, practices and procedures of hospital operation and nursing administration
Ability to plan, organize, and supervise large-scale and comprehensive nursing activities.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with administrative and medical personnel, employees, patients, the public and other departments and agencies.
Computer proficiency, ESP knowledge an asset.
Strong leadership abilities, interpersonal skills, problem-solving skills, decision-making skills, and skill in management of successful organizational change.
