Reporting to the Manager, Sport Operations, the Arena Operator is responsible for ensuring clean, safe and healthy recreation facilities. This includes cleaning and maintaining the buildings, set up and take down for public and private functions in the building; cleaning and maintenance of the ice surface and assisting in the ice plant and arena building.
Education and Experience:
Grade 12 or a combination of relevant education, training and experience.
Previous experience in performing the function of ice making and ice maintenance is an asset.
Experience in multi-tasking and working in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of ice making and maintenance procedures.
Ability to work with little supervision.
Must have a valid drivers license.
Must have steel-toed work boots/shoes.
Qualified applicants will be subject to submitting and maintaining a satisfactory
Criminal Record Check (CRC)
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)

- Operate machines to clean, smooth and prepare ice surfaces
